With a culinary career spanning over quarter of a century,

White Label Kitchen founder Simon Denton has seen first-hand just how disconnected our food and hospitality industry has become.

We can’t change our industry overnight. But we can ask questions and offer new perspectives. That’s why in 2024, Simon created White Label Kitchen with a simple mission: to challenge the way people think about food.

To Simon, food should be about bringing people together. It should connect local communities with their environments to “break bread”, in the truest sense. It should be about creating calm, truly welcoming hospitality where people are given space to reconnect, restore, and

re-energise.

From local pop-ups to large waste-free events and a touch of wild cooking, Simon’s projects are about bringing people together – challenging the status quo to explore new ideas, share truly nutritious,

farm-fresh food, and reconnect with the world around them.

A message from Simon

My curious mind meets your curious mind

Growing up in rural Oxfordshire, I was fascinated by how the local environment has shaped the architecture and culture of our little corner of the world. The buildings, the people, the way of life – they all seemed to weave together as one.

 

But as our society and culture hurtle forward, have we lost some of these connections? And at what cost? My curious mind wonders: how can we, as an industry, revive and preserve them?

 

So my question to you is: how can you and I help make this happen? And why the hell shouldn’t we? I want to bring inquisitive minds together, get creative and start important conversations about food and hospitality. That’s what White Label Kitchen is all about.
